Baby Jesus

I adore you, most sweet Child Jesus, true Son of God from all eternity and true Son of the Virgin Mary in the fullness of time.

Adoring your divine person and the humanity that is united to you, I cannot help but venerate the poor manger in which you reclined, O Most Holy Child, and which was truly the first throne of your love.

Oh! May I prostrate myself before you, with the simplicity of shepherds, with the faith of Saint Joseph, with the love of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
O Lord, who, as a newborn child, deigned to rest in this cradle, deign also to pour into my heart a portion, however small, of that joy which should have been produced not only by the sight of thy lovely infancy, but also by the wonders which accompanied thy birth; by virtue of which I beseech thee to grant peace and good will to all the world, and in the name of the whole human race to give all thanks and all glory to the Father and to the Holy Spirit, who live and reign with thee as one God for ever and ever.
